About Scaffolding

Scaffolding is a temporary structure that supports workers and construction materials to reach a certain height during construction work. Scaffoldings can be made up of iron, timber, and steel. But the wooden scaffolding is not that safe for towering heights. Iron scaffolding is comparatively safer to elevate workers and construction material at towering heights. Scaffolding can be used for the construction, repair, cleaning of an establishment or a machine.

Uses of Scaffolding

  • Iron scaffolding is widely used in the construction of buildings, bridges, etc.
  • Scaffoldings are also used to assemble giant tent houses.
  • It is also used for decoration purposes.
  • Iron or Steel Scaffolding can be used for repairing houses, bridges.
  • Scaffolding can be used for cleaning purposes as well.
  • Scaffoldings can be wherever supported at higher heights is needed.

Three major types of Scaffolding are based on the uses.

  1. Suspended Scaffolds
  2. Supported Scaffolds
  3. Aerial lifts

Importance of best Scaffolding

  • Iron or Steel Scaffolding proves to be the best and most durable type of Scaffoldings.
  • In comparison to timber Scaffoldings, Iron scaffoldings can reach towering heights.
  • Iron scaffoldings are more stable in comparison to timber scaffoldings.
  • Since Iron scaffoldings are more durable, they can support a higher number of workers at a time in comparison to timber scaffoldings.
  • This can support a larger amount of construction materials in comparison to timber Scaffolding.
